we're moving

The headline is only significant to those of you living in IL otherwise you might think it is fairly mundane. IL has somewhere between 8-16 inches of snow and ice coming down presently and we're moving out of a second floor apt. Our plan had been to just move things to my mom's in Mattoon and then up to BLM as time allowed. Problem is we can't get between Charleston and Mattoon to move stuff out of the apt and we're supposed to be out tomorrow. I think our landlord will be gracious and give us a few more days due to weather but I've already transferred the water and power. Sigh... why must we always move under the gun? Why can't we move like normal people? That is supposing that normal people don't move this way.

Speaking of moving . . . there should be a for sale sign in our yard today, but it's hard to get a sign through a foot of snow to get it into the ground. So I can sort of commiserate . . . just a little. Wish we could help.
